I’m joining the disability march because I fear I won’t have the strength/stamina to even attend my local Syracuse in Solidarity rally. It hurts my heart because I want so badly to be with – no STAND with, the women and men who share both my beliefs, anger, and fears.

SLE (Lupus) is the primary cause of my disability. I look ‘well’…people tell me frequently that I look ‘so good’ for being sick. It is a double edged sword. I am a Physician Assistant, currently unable to work as a result of my illness. My chronic, often ‘invisible’ illness is a physical and emotional struggle. We need each other!
