
I am not able to participate physically in the Women’s March because I’m in a wheelchair, due to my MS. But I want to be involved because I believe strongly in rights for all women!
Leslie was born in 1942 and grew up in Clinton, NY. She spent much of her adult life in Brantingham, NY, where she created a summer swimming program which was available for all children, on the same lake where she had loved being a camp counselor. She earned a BA in recreational therapy and an MA in education. In addition to working for many years as a special education teacher in public schools, she was an organizer and leader for Special Olympics in the Adirondacks. She raised two wonderful sons and is retired now, living in Ithaca, NY.
