I march so these two beautiful, intelligent, dear little boys, and little girls and boys all over the world, don’t have to grow up in a world filled with fear and hate, hunger and pain. I march so people with challenges are treated with dignity and kindness. I march so that hands and arms and hearts remain open and not closed in fists and greed and selfishness. I march so everyone receives the basic human right of safe effective medical care and isn’t sacrificed on the altar of corporate greed. I march because to sit here and not march is to condone and normalize what is heinous and despicable.
