Natalia

I am joining the disability march because I am a disabled teen. I was born with hemiplegia and Epilepsy, both pre-existing conditions. I require many regular doctors visits and costly medical treatment. When the ACA went into affect I was able to receive these treatments without worrying about high payments. The Affordable Care Act really helped my family and myself care for all my medical needs including my $500 medications I NEED to SURVIVE! WITHOUT INSURE I WILL GET SICKER!!!   I also am greatly offended by the fact that the President of the United States hates me, that he mocks me because I am disabled! For many years I did a lot of advocacy for special needs, and honestly…. It hurts that Donald Trump hates us for being US.

Mr. Trump, I hold my hand the way I do because I have spasticity, not idiocy! For many years I did a lot of advocacy for special needs, and honestly….

Biographical Statement:

I am a High School student therefore do not have a paying job. I do, however, have work experience in working and advocating for special needs individual. Infact, I was in Washington DC when I was 8 as part of a Kids Speak Up (KSU) project for Epilepsy advocate. I wrote a speech with my father. I spoke to Ileana Ros-Lehtinen about the importance of advocacy and health care for Epilepsy patients.
