I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, fibromyalgia, interstitial cystitis, and several other conditions that prevent me from marching. I am marching because racism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia, and fascism are not things I want in my country. I’m marching because without the Affordable Care Act, I will quite literally die. Most of all, I’m marching in solidarity with all the other individuals who are fighting to keep this country truly great – which is not what the incoming administration thinks it is.
