My disability means my ability to physically join the march are behind me. That doesn’t mean I will sit still for disrespect, inequality, and ignorance. These two boys are off to a wonderful start learning about equality and individual rights. Although there will always be battles to be fought and won, it is long past time for women to be granted equal respect and rights. This march will make the message loud and clear – and hopefully unnecessary to be repeated in future generations.
A mother, a grandmother, a daughter, a sister, a niece – I am all of those things and proud to have stood up in whatever way I can for those who need a voice to help achieve their rights and goals.
