I have lived with an undiagnosed illness for six years. I have been unable to work full time and struggle with daily tasks. The Affordable Care Act has allowed me to continue seeking answers and getting the care I need. Last year, I also suffered a miscarriage and was only able to receive the wonderful care I needed because of the insurance provided to me by the Affordable Care Act. Now, I fear for my future and I am filled with uncertainty about the future of my healthcare. I know I am not alone. Health care is vital to helping women obtain equality and fight for their goals and dreams. This includes reproductive care. President Trump is ready and eager to strip these critical services from women, denying women the opportunity to make their own choices for what is best for their lives. This is unacceptable.
His hateful rhetoric has demeaned women, promoted sexual assault and given a prominent voice to misogyny, Islamophobia and racism. His words and actions have threatened the core values that make America the best country in the world. I join this march to denounce this hate. Islamophobia, Racism and Misogyny are not American values.
