Anne has dark brown, wavy hair and is smiling for the camera. Her photo is framed with messages that read “I Survived an Eating Disorder, I Have a Sleep Disorder, I Have Depression, I Have Arthritis, I Have Fibromyalgia” and the hashtags “End the Stigma” and “You Are Not Alone.”

I was never a political person until this election. But now that I’ve become politically aware, there are many things I’d like to do but can’t, such as march in solidarity with my sisters. I have arthritis, bursitis, and tendinitis in most of my lower joints, plus I am clinically obese and have fibromyalgia, so walking for miles in cold weather is impossible for me. But I am doing what I can to get involved, especially in regards to healthcare reform. Namaste.
