I live on SSI for my depression and anxiety. As many know, SSI and SSDI are subsistence incomes. There is no way I could afford to go to the march even though I fear that my medical care will be effected by the Republicans that now control congress. And I realize I am one of the luckier people because I DO have Medicaid . With out the medical assistance I would not be able to afford my medications because they are over $1,000.00 a month. I am currently unemployed because of cancer treatment but the meds work so I hope to be employed again soon. I believe we need to expand opportunities for people with disabilities and to provide medical care for the people who need it. All I believe in is threatened by a Trump Presidency and Republican Congress.
