I am 80-yrs-old, and I really wanted to attend one of the marches. But I was concerned about my stamina due to arthritis and A-fib which sometimes leaves me weak and short of breath.
But I am so happy to be a part of this way of showing my support to the march and for all the causes represented. I have always been a caregiver in one way or another. I worked as a nurse for 20 years and later worked with autistic pre-school children.
I am very frightened by the election of Donald Trump and what he represents. He has also selected the most inappropriate people to head Departments. In many cases they are truly a danger to the stated mission of the department.
I sincerely hope that this moment in our history represents a revival of the Women’s Movement. That is a very broad mission at this time, but women united can work miracles.
My heart and soul are with each and every one of you today and in the days to come.
The efforts of this march are especially important to all our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
