I am lucky. I do not have a longterm disability, but I am currently unable to walk due to complications regarding a major leg surgery. I am lucky enough to have stable pay and health insurance, but for those without, I cannot fathom the stress and depression that is brought about in their lives. I would march if I could. I will march in the future. But for now, this note will take my place in standing for the rights of all people.
I am a 26-year-old from Bethesda, MD. Raised by an incredibly strong woman and surrounded by three amazingly strong sisters, I have only known women as a force to be reckoned with. I stand in solidarity today so they can live the life they deserve to have.
