Due to poor post partum care, I am still recovering 17 months after what I never realized before was major abdominal surgery. I’ve come a long way in healing after my emergency cesarean. But I still have a long way to go. I used to do 14 mile hikes. Today, I’m lucky to be able to walk more than 14 blocks without experiencing debilitating pain. But there was a time that I couldn’t manage 14 steps. I’ll get there someday. But today is not that day.
