I am joining in memory of my mother, who was a staunch environmentalist while I was growing up, and who found her greatest joy in being a reporter for local newspapers in the final years of her life.

I am joining for all the people in the disability community who are stripped of their names and human dignity in the press and in social media, for the disabled people who are seen only as burdens and embarrassments, and who suffer at the hands of bullies, but for whom the Law does not suffer to protect them from harm.
