I am unable to participate in the march in person for a variety of reasons including my health, but I want to make my voice heard. I believe that women’s rights are human rights, that love trumps hate, black lives matter, climate change is real and must be addressed, that no one should be discriminated against because of who they love, their gender identity, or how they worship (or don’t worship at all). I am joining because I want a better, safer future for my child and for all children, quality free public education for all, debt-free college, and for us to invest in the technology needed for the jobs of tomorrow.
I am disgusted that the highest office in the United States will be occupied by a man who brags about committing sexual assault, who lies pathologically, who is as corrupt as they come, who is racist, misogynistic, and anti-science. He threatens not only the security of the United States but of our allies and other countries around the world. I am joining because we cannot remain silent in the face of his assault on our democracy.
