“I survived that. I’m still surviving it.” -Carrie Fisher
I’m surviving enthesitis, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue, and amplified musculoskeletal pain disorder. I’m surviving anxiety and depression. Carrie Fisher has always been a huge source of inspiration for me, and it is my hope that I can “still survive” with the grace that she did for sixty years.
I want to march because as a Filipino, bisexual, disabled woman, the policies that Trump wants to make will affect me personally. Because I have been a victim of sexual assault and it nearly destroyed me.
I’m fueled by spite and $2,000 injections. Children of the Earth, I’m with you. Carrie is with you. Let us all be space princesses.
Thank you, Space Mommy, for giving me the grit to go on.
