I am joining the disAbility March to increase the awareness that disAbility Rights are Civil Rights & it’s not okay for us to continue to be overlooked & pushed aside & moved to the end of the agenda or taken off all together.

I am a black woman with a disAbility, a minority, an elementary school teacher, & an advocate who believes in Equality for All & yet I continue to witness the opposite. I went without health insurance several years due to the ‘preexisting condition’ clause until Obamacare which was/is a BLESSING! I’m in disgust that not only does our world get by with having barriers to Equality & Access, but it continues to ADD new barriers & Accept lack of Accessibility & Equality for all.
