A woman with short black hair stares into a mirror that is covered with post-it notes. The notes have inspirational quotations.
While I am not disabled, I am a caregiver for both my father and grandma. I understand what it is to be at the whims or a disease or to structure life around a disability. When I realized my father’s illness was going to prevent me from getting to Washington, I was crushed. So, I am here instead, doing my best to show up and be counted. To remind Trump that he does not have a mandate, that we will not roll over, and that we will not accept a world where we are considered less than equal.
