I am unable to attend a march because it is difficult for me to walk long distances. However, I believe that it is our right and responsibility as citizens of a democracy to speak up, to protest, to rally, to riot when we see our country moving away from progress. I march to continue toward equality for all genders, races, sexual orientations, and classes.

Our democratic process may have elected a bigot, but that does not mean that we will sit idly by while he dismantles all of the advances we have made in womens’ reproductive rights, protections for LGBTQ citizens, finding solutions to climate change, and many others. In addition, I believe we still have so much work to do and progress to make in terms of racial, economic, and environmental justice. I look forward to joining all my sisters in our cooperative goal of creating a more compassionate and just society!
