I march because I refuse to be cynical.
I march because I believe in the power of everyday citizens committing themselves to progress while we have a president who cannot be a role model for our children.
I march for equal pay for equal work, for birth control, and the right to make decisions about my own uterus.
I march because Black Lives Matter.
I march for my students who are as beautiful, courageous, and diverse as the earth is round and who deserve opportunities to succeed no matter their race, religion, or socioeconomic status.
I march for climate justice and the conservation of wild spaces and an inhabitable earth for future generations.
I march for you, and me, and everyone in between.

I believe in universal health care & social services for all people who need them. I support diversity in all forms & will not sit by quietly & watch as such blatant sexism, homophobia, racism & overall discrimination happens in this country. I wanted so bad to march in person, but my condition would…

Why I Am Joining The March : To quote John Pavlovitz: History has been littered with horrible people who did terrible things with power, because too many good people remained silent. And since my fear is that we are surely entering one of those periods in our story, I wanted to make sure that I…

Why I Am Joining The March : I have been so sad and frustrated that I cannot attend the march without seriously compromising my health. Living with ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia means that a day like this could land me in bed for the next few weeks. I am grateful that this community has been created…
