Statement: I march because I am a survivor, because my friends are survivors, and because this country is full of far too many women who have been subject to rape, abuse, and assault. Because I refuse to endorse an administration that promotes such violence and mysogny. I march to assert that each woman should have control over her own body. I march not out of fear, but hope. With purpose and community. That together, we can face this hatred and become stronger because of it.
Bio: I am a professional author and illustrator, holding a bachelor’s in history and literature from the University of NC at Chapel Hill and a master’s in illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design. I speak six languages and love to travel. Though I suffer from chronic neurological illnesses that cause constant pain and greatly limit my mobility, I am still determined to live life to the fullest.
