My name is Shannon Wells and I am a software developer living in Tennessee. My life was altered when I was diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalopathy and Fibromyalgia 7 years ago. I cannot march in person today because I must spend my weekends resting to make it through the work week. I am standing with my sisters and brothers around the globe in spirit and solidarity. I march to create a more compassionate, kinder world – to stamp out racism, misogyny, xenophobia, and ableism. I march because I love my country, and I hope for freedom and justice for all – regardless of race, creed, gender, or sexual orientation.
